Delaware Aviation Museum Foundation (DAMF) joins the Capital Wing – Commemorative Air Force in offering the Warbird Showcase.  The Warbird Showcase offers a unique collection of vintage warbirds for the public to experience a flight adventure that is not offered anywhere else.  The Warbird Showcase consists of DAMF’s North American B-25 “Panchito”, the CAF’s TBM “Doris Mae”, L-5 Stinson “Gayle Ann” and a Stearman bi-plane.  A rare opportunity to fly in such historical aircraft in one place.  To book a flight, please go to the Warbird Flight Adventure page (link https://www.delawareaviationmuseum.org/damf/lhfe/rides.html) or call 443-458-8926.

Enjoy seeing he famous WWII medium bomber the North American B-25J up close. Look inside the bomb bay at the exact replicas of the bombs and count the machine guns. Panchito appears today exactly as the original Panchito did on Okinawa during the summer of 1945 carrying out bombing missions over Japan.

Delaware Aviation Museum Foundation will be offering flight experience rides on "Panchito" on a limited basis and seats can be purchased by by calling 443-458-8926. A flight is a minimum of four passengers and a maximum of six passengers.

Second-In-Command (SIC) Type Ratings for Pilots

 

Delaware Aviation Museum Foundation aircraft:

North American B-25J "Panchito"

Delaware Aviation Museum Foundation will be offering pilots a chance for hands-on flying of one of the WWII aviation icons. This three day event will be open to only three pilots for SIC type ratings or one pilot for the Orientation Flight and two pilots for SIC type ratings. The SIC type rating course includes the Pilot's Operating Manual for the B-25, syllabus, checklists and a Certificate of Completion. The minimum requirements for the SIC type rating course are a current U.S. third class medical certificate, Private Pilot certificate and a multiengine rating.

The Second-In-Command type rating includes a one day ground school, B-25 Pilot's Operating Handbook, syllabus, checklists, lunch, logbook entry and Certificate of Completion for FAA approval of Second-In-Command type rating.
